Please read these terms carefully before using Certify. By using the Service, you agree to be bound by these terms.
1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using Certify ("the Service"), you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
We reserve the right to update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
2. Description of Service
Certify is a certificate generation and verification platform that allows users to create, manage, and verify digital certificates for events, workshops, hackathons, and similar activities.
The Service includes: template upload and editing, bulk certificate generation from CSV data, unique verification IDs and QR codes, public verification pages, and certificate management dashboards.
3. Account Registration
You must create an account to use the Service. Account creation is handled through Clerk, our authentication provider.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must provide accurate and complete information during registration.
You must be at least 13 years of age to use the Service. If you are under 18, you must have parental or guardian consent.
4. Acceptable Use
You may use the Service to generate legitimate certificates for genuine events, workshops, courses, and similar activities.
You may not use the Service to create fraudulent, misleading, or fake certificates.
You may not use the Service to impersonate another organization or issue certificates on behalf of an organization without authorization.
You may not use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
You may not attempt to interfere with, compromise, or disrupt the Service or its infrastructure.
5. User Content
You retain ownership of all content you upload to the Service, including certificate templates, logos, and recipient data.
By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to store, process, and display your content solely for the purpose of providing the Service.
You are responsible for ensuring that your content does not infringe on any third-party intellectual property rights.
You are solely responsible for the accuracy of recipient data you upload.
6. Certificate Verification
Certificates generated through the Service include public verification pages accessible via unique URLs and QR codes.
Verification pages display the recipient name, event name, issuing organization, and certificate status. This information is publicly accessible by design — it is essential for the verification function.
By issuing a certificate, you consent to this information being publicly accessible.
We reserve the right to mark certificates as revoked or invalid if they are found to violate these Terms.
7. Intellectual Property
The Certify platform, including its code, design, branding, and documentation, is owned by TechnoJam.
The Certify name, logo, and brand marks are the property of TechnoJam.
Your certificate templates and designs remain your property.
8. Limitation of Liability
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied.
We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or secure at all times.
TechnoJam and its contributors shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service.
Our total liability for any claim arising from the Service shall not exceed the amount you paid (if any) in the 12 months preceding the claim.
9. Termination
You may close your account at any time from the Settings page.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. Certificate data may be retained for verification purposes as described in our Privacy Policy.
10. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of India.
Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in New Delhi, India.
